What does it take to be a DCT Volunteer?

To begin, we pride ourselves on the exceptionally talented group of dedicated and family-oriented volunteers that make up the heart of The Delaware Children's Theatre. For years, the DCT has worked with hundreds of volunteers of all ages to help make the theatre what it is today. We believe that greatness is not a function of circumstance, but choice. It is because of this philosophy that our many volunteers come back to help show after show, year after year.

Without our volunteers, we would just be a building with no name.

So what does it take to be a DCT Volunteer?:

  • a love for theatre.
  • a few hours of free time.
  • a willingness to give back to a nonprofit organization.
  • a lot of heart.
  • and a friendly smile.

Our talented volunteers put our devoted and loyal audiences first and help make their theatrical experience one that will be memorable. Because of our volunteers, we are able to continue and provide wonderful family theatre for new generations of kids and teens each season.

Becoming a volunteer is easy.

Simply fill out the form below and let us know what you'd like to do. Our volunteers span a generation of ages. From 10 to 80. Volunteering is not only an American past-time, but a DCT one too!

Won't you become part of our theatrical family?

We could use additional help:

  • onstage
  • make-up
  • set construction
  • painting
  • ushering
  • costumes
  • and so much more.

Get up, get out, and meet some great people at DCT.
