Johnny Gallagher, Jr. has been a part of the DCT since he was 12 years old. Everyone at the DCT is so very proud of John's accomplishments in theatre, TV, and film.

"Oh my God. OK. I have to say endless, endless thanks to the Tony voters and my fellow nominees. Thank you to my amazing cast and our incredible band in Spring Awakening. To Bill T. Jones, Kimberly Grigsby, our musical director, for helping me truly find my voice and for making us shine. Andy Hamingson and Neil Pepe and everyone at the Atlantic Theater Company, you are the true rock stars of New York theatre, and we would not be here in this room tonight without you. Frank Wood, Mary McCann, Carrie Gardner and Jim Carnahan, all of our producers, but particularly Jeff Richards, Ira Pittelman and Tom Hulce -- you are businessmen of passion and pathos and most importantly, not pretension. I will never forget all the hard work you did for this show and for us.Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik for this beautiful, incredible music. You make it so easy to find myself and lose myself in the material every night. Michael Mayer, our director, I’m not the only person whose life you changed this year. Thank you for this chance and for giving me a work environment that was comfortable and challenging and for seeing things in me I didn’t dare see in myself.
My mother, Dad, Joanie, Jamie, my whole family, I could not do this without you. You are my support, and I want to say, Happy birthday to my friend Seth. And finally, my character in Spring Awakening has a line -- this is so lame because when you come and see the show you are going to think of this when I say it -- 'Truly, truly, heaven must feel like this.' Thank you so much."
